In the sotocoro of the church the image of Santo Cristo del Buen Alumbramiento is venerated. It is a Gothic Crucified, from the 14th century, of very high historical and artistic value and of great importance in the devotional life of the Parish and the city in the preceding centuries. The image of the Holy Christ follows the lines marked by the Gothic style. He is crucified by means of three nails, he wears a purity cloth that is shortened, revealing one of his knees, he already has a certain muscular configuration and bows his head as an obvious sign of his death, which contrasts with the sweetness and serenity of his face. This Crucified One was highly venerated by pregnant women and women in labor, who addressed their prayers to him asking for a good delivery, a fact from which derives his curious invocation of "Good Birth". In its day it was venerated in an altarpiece located in this same place, in whose lateral streets were the paintings of the Stigmatization of San Francisco and the miracle of Santo Domingo in Soriano, which today are behind us, on the pillars of the nave. of the church, as well as the carvings of these two saints that will be seen on the altar of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
